About Us
School Information:
School Hours -are 7:50-2:45. Our front doors open at 7:30am for walkers, car riders, bike riders. Students riding the bus arrive at 7:20am.
Illnesses-If your child is ill in the morning you should call the school at 785-438-4220 and report the illness. If your child becomes ill during the day they can visit the nurse. Students who are sick may be sent home.
Student-Parent-Conferences -are held at the beginning of second quarter & after midterms third quarter. Students are expected to attend as they are student led.
Absences-Parent or guardian should notify the main office the day of the absence or by 10:00 p.m. the next day.
Appointments During School Hours-The parent or guardian must come into the office and sign the student out, then sign them in upon return to school.
Late To School-Students must check in at the main office before going to class.
Medication At School-When students take medication on a regular basis, it is their responsibility to go to the nurse at the appropriate time. All medication (including over the counter) must be kept in the nurse's office. Forms are available for medication to be given at school. For more information, please contact our school nurse at 785-438-4220.
Lost Items-Check in the red lost But Found bucket in the commons.
Make-up Work -Students are responsible for asking the teacher before or after school for missing assignments. Parents are always welcome to call the office for make up work (438-4150). Homework can also be found on Google Classroom. Homework may be picked up by 3:00 p.m.
School Closings -While TPS tries to keep school in session at all times, closing due to bad weather will be announced by 6:30 on regular media outlets in Topeka.

Extra Curricular Activities-Students must be in good academic standing (no Fs) and have eligibility points to attend or participate.
