Mrs. Wagner has dedicated more than 20 years to education, serving students and families in a variety of roles. She began her career as a special education teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels after earning her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education from Washburn University. She later earned a master's degree in Special Education from Washburn University, an ESOL endorsement from the University of Kansas, and a master's degree in Educational Administration from Kansas State University.
Before moving into school leadership, Amy served as a Special Education Consulting Teacher, supporting educators and students across the district. She then became an Assistant Principal in Topeka Public Schools (USD 501) before being named Principal of Landon Middle School in 2024.
Mrs. Wagner is passionate about creating a positive, student-centered school culture where every learner feels valued, challenged, and supported. She considers it a privilege to serve the Landon community and feels honored each day to lead its outstanding students, staff, and families.
Outside of school, Mrs. Wagner enjoys spending time with her Goldendoodle, Stella, as well as her adult daughters and their spouses. She treasures family time and is proud to be part of the Landon community.
